Add magnetic equator (F6EPY)
Christian F
Many north-south long distance openings from the mid latitude populated areas, as well as east west openings from the tropical belt (ie. EA - E5, S5 - E6, 6W - FK8) are characterized by skewed paths involving one or several chordal hops crossing the magnetic equator. It would be nice to display the magnetic equator in order to better understand and visualize this kind of mechanism.

F6EPY reply : Hello Christian, alas I didn't pay attention early enough to your reply below. Let me reformulate your assumption in other words : "the MUF and foF2 maps are the direct artefacts of a ionosphere model which is already taking in account the "magnetism of the earth" , thus there is no real need for a 'magnetism of the earth" layer in HamDXMap...
Well.. it would be correct if the "skewed path/chordal hops" were geometric modes normally involved in F2 circuit predictions (like the ones of IonCAP/VoACAP/ICECAP..etc) and implying vertical gradients but..
A. they are NOT ! because they are often non geometric modes implying horizontal gradients like TEL ..etc well described in this article https://www.erau.ee/images/ULL/50%20Mhz%20Long-Path%20Propagation%20by%20KH6-K6MIO.pdf
B. and visualization of the magnetic equator would help to visualize/explore such possible paths
