Log4OM udp configs
Christian F
Thank you for your interest.
HamDXMap uses a websocket channel. UDP is forbidden by browsers.
Yes, the various radio logging software packages are capable of exchanging data over UDP ports, but generally in formats that are not compatible with each other.
wtSock is the websocket gateway for Win-Test's incoming UDP format.
LOG4OM uses a different format (ADIF format) and is not able to broadcast DXcluster spots (to my knowledge).
Another example, N1MM uses another XML format for contacts and spots (https://n1mmwp.hamdocs.com/appendices/external-udp-broadcasts/#xml-schema-and-message-field-lists).
The format expected for HamDXMap is specified and can therefore be implemented by a developer willing to build the gateway.
At this time, I myself don't have the extra time to devote to extending compatibility.
I'd also recommend Win-test, which is a must-have logger that people who like contests will find extremely valuable and handy.
